Sidemount Diver

Discover the balance and efficiency of sidemount scuba diving with your PADI dive instructor. Many divers find sidemount tanks are more comfortable and easier to put on in the water. Sidemount diving is also beneficial for divers who want improved balance and prolonged dives.

Requirements: At least 15 years old, in good health, OW Certified.

  • For age 45 yrs old and above, diver medical form with doctor’s approval is required.
  • Minimum 18 hours of resting after scuba diving is required before taking flight.
  • Instructor will help to take some underwater photos/videos during boat dive.

Course Arrangement

Day 1

  • Travel to Kampung Paya,Pulau Tioman via ferry.We recommend taking 11am ferry.Approximate arrival will be 1pm(please try not to arrive paya after 2pm), lunch and check in. 3pm gather at dive centre for basic theory course & equipment introduction and adjustment.

Day 2

  • Gather at the dive shop at 8:30 after breakfast, start 2 shore training dives. Discuss course contents after dinner.

Day 3

  • Gather at the dive center at 8:30 after breakfast and begin open water training.In the affternoon,the training continues,and most course requirements will be completed. The instructor will help take some photos/videos during the training. (Typically certification will be awareded at night)

Day 4

  • Return home, any ferry timing is fine.
